Emilio Irizarry
Licensed professional counselor; (HE/Him)
For many years, I struggled with confidence, self-acceptance, and feeling like I didn’t belong. Growing up in an environment that wasn’t affirming of my sexuality, I learned early on how isolating it can feel to hide important parts of yourself.
Today, as an LGBTQ+ counselor, I strive to be someone who listens without judgment, affirms your identity, and helps you discover your strength, worth and capacity for transformation.
I offer a safe and affirming space to explore your experiences and learn how to love yourself fully. In our sessions, you’ll find warmth, humor, and real conversations. My goal is to help you feel empowered to live authentically and create relationships that reflect who you truly are. I specialize in working with LGBTQ+ individuals, people exploring or navigating ethically nonmonogamous relationships, and anyone dealing with depression, identity concerns or feelings of disconnection.
TRAINING & EDUCATION
I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Architecture from Ohio University. I furthered my education with a Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Capital University. I am currently under the supervision of Meredith Voorhees, LPCC-S.
