As a compassionate and dedicated therapist, Rakiya provides a safe, supportive, non-judgmental space for individuals aged 7 and up to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Rakiya works with children, adolescents, and adults to address a wide range of challenges, from managing anxiety and depression to overcoming the effects of trauma.
Rakiya supports clients in developing healthier coping strategies, building resilience, and navigating difficult life transitions. Whether it’s processing past abuse, managing mood disorders or resolving family conflict, Rakiya is committed to helping clients achieve emotional well-being and personal growth.
Rakiya has expertise and passion for working with clients who struggle with the following areas: “Needing someone to talk to,” Abuse & Trauma (including PTSD), Anxiety & Depression, mood disorders such as Bipolar Disorder, Grief/Bereavement Counseling, Life Changes & Stress Management, Somatoform Disorders, Conflict Resolution with peers, Domestic Violence & Women's Issues, Body Image, and Cultural Concerns.
